National Youth Service Corps: Commending Collaborative Efforts of Security Agencies

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has expressed its appreciation for the positive and cooperative relationship between the organization and security agencies in Nigeria.

Brigadier General Yusha’u Ahmed, Director General of the NYSC, conveyed his satisfaction during his recent visits to the Commander of the 1 Brigade Nigerian Army, the Commissioner of Police, and the Director of the Department of State Services in Gusau, Zamfara State, located in the North-West region of Nigeria.

During his visit to the 1 Brigade Headquarters, the DG of NYSC was warmly received by Brigadier General S Ahmed, who expressed his commitment to supporting the NYSC in its mission to promote unity within the country.

The Brigade Commander also commended the NYSC Director General for his dedication to the welfare of Corps Members, which was the reason behind his personal visit to Zamfara State—to ensure the safety of Corps Members deployed there.

In a meeting with the Commissioner of Police, Mohammed Bunu, the Director General of NYSC, Brigadier General Yasha’u Ahmed, praised the Police for their efforts in providing necessary assistance to the NYSC Scheme. He also emphasized that the safety of both staff and Corps Members has been one of his top priorities since assuming office.

At the Department of State Services Headquarters, the Director General of the NYSC held discussions with the State Director of Security, Mr. Usman Shehu. Mr. Shehu welcomed the Director General and affirmed the DSS’s commitment to collaborating with the NYSC.
