Bosun Tijani assumes duty as Minister of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy

The Minister of Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy, Bosun Tijani, has resumed duty hours after the inauguration by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Tijani was among the 45 ministers President Tinubu swore in on Monday.

Speaking with the heads of agencies under the ministry, Tijani urged them to hit the ground running.

He pledged to come up with policies that would transform the industry.

According to him, he would build on the gains recorded so far in the ministry through effective collaboration with key stakeholders in the industry.

As Minister of Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy, Tijani took over from Prof. Isa Pantami.

Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), Galaxy Backbone, Nigerian Postal Service (NPS), National Identity Management Commission (NIMC), and Nigerian Communications Satellite Limited are among the agencies under the ministry.
