Osun Assembly Halts Staff Audit Indefinitely Amidst Allegations Against Consultant

The Osun State House of Assembly has ordered the immediate suspension of the staff audit exercise in the state, which was being conducted by Sally Tibbot Consulting. This decision was made during an emergency meeting held on Monday with lawmakers.

Concerns were raised regarding the conduct of the consultant after several petitions were submitted. In response, the Speaker of the Assembly, Adewale Egbedun, formed an ad-hoc committee to investigate the allegations and provide recommendations.

In light of these developments, a meeting has been scheduled for Tuesday, August 22nd, at 10:00 am. Relevant stakeholders have been invited to the House of Assembly to discuss the issues surrounding the staff audit.

Last week, staff members of Osun State University (UNIOSUN) staged a protest against Sally Tibbot Consulting, claiming that the consultant was using disrespectful language and even made derogatory remarks about a professor. The intervention of the Vice Chancellor was necessary to resume the audit process.
