No crack in Birinin Magaji PDP in Zamfara, only political interests – Party Scribe, Magaji

The Zamfara State Commissioner of Housing and Urban Development Affairs, Kabiru Moye Birinin Magaji has refuted claims from some quarters that there is political friction in Birnin Magaji Local Government Area of the state due to imposition of Caretaker Chairman and Councillors of the area.

Addressing newsmen in his office, Moye claimed that some people were eying the position of the Caretaker Chairman and Councillors but when they did not get it, they began creating political confusions.

He alleged that those trying to cause political confusions within the PDP in the Local Government Area of the State are working for the All Progressives Congress, APC.

The State Governor reserves every constitutional right to select anyone he wants to serve in any capacity, saying that Governor Dauda Lawal constituted the caretaker committee to select caretaker chairman and councillors who can serve for six months before the election.

“The Governor constituted the selection committee for the members to work out modalities and select capable people that can overlook the affairs of the Local Government Area Council for six months”, he added.

“The caretaker chairman is not even from Birinin Magaji ward but from Madomawa village and the rumor mongers were saying that Birinin Magaji ward produced caretaker chairman and a councillor which is very much far from being the truth”

The Commissioner wondered why people should be fighting for positions when the state government is not up to 100 days in office, saying that there are more positions to be shared by the governor.

He called on the aggrieved persons to stop causing political confusion and support the present administration to succeed, pointing out that the government is currently battling the teething insecurity ravaging the state.
