Nigeria’s Minister of Police Affairs, Senator Ibrahim Gaidam, has called upon staff in the Ministry to adopt innovative approaches and propose new ideas to navigate the ever-changing landscape. The objective is to ensure a safer and more secure environment in the country.

Gaidam delivered this charge during his assumption of duty as the Minister of Police Affairs, in a meeting with the new Minister of State and the management team at the Ministry’s Headquarters in Abuja.

The Minister emphasized the significance of unity, collaboration, and cooperation in addressing the various challenges the nation faces in maintaining law and order, safeguarding citizens’ rights, and upholding justice.

In his address, he stated, “We must work hand in hand, drawing upon our collective expertise and experience, to bring positive change to the police ecosystem through the ministry.”

He further expressed that, through collective effort, the Nigeria Police Force could become more efficient, professional, and accountable to society.

According to him, “This approach will drive the Ministry forward. The task at hand appears daunting; however, with determination, dedication, and shared vision, we can overcome the obstacles we face.”

In her remarks, the Honourable Minister of State, Hajia Imaan Suleiman-Ibrahim, highlighted that both ministers would work as a team to improve the staff’s welfare. They are committed to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s renewed hope agenda, ensuring the successful implementation of economic and security improvements in the country.

Prior to the Ministers’ arrival, the Permanent Secretary, Mr. Abel Olumuyiwa Enitan, expressed gratitude to the President for appointing a competent, experienced, reputable, and esteemed manager of finance, materials, and human resources to drive the renewed hope agenda.

He pledged the cooperation and support of the entire staff, affirming their readiness to collaborate and fulfill the Ministers’ mandate, contributing to lasting peace and security in the nation.
