The Commissioner for Transportation in Ekiti State, Kehinde Ajobiewe, has called on officials of the ministry to rise to the occasion and fulfill the mandate entrusted to them by Governor Biodun Oyebanji.
Ajobiewe made this statement during a special meeting attended by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Transportation, Isaac Abulola; the Executive Secretary of the Ekiti State Traffic Management Agency (EKTSMA), Tai Akomolafe; as well as the Directors of Admin & Supplies and Finance & Accounts, Lawal Monisola.
The Commissioner emphasized the need for the ministry to formulate and adapt strategies for the smooth operation of the newly established Transportation Ministry.
Integral to the discussion was the exploration of ways to ensure optimal efficiency within the ministry, subsequently bolstering the state’s revenue to support ongoing developmental ventures spearheaded by Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji.
The meeting underscored the significance of effective transportation management in facilitating economic growth and development, as well as optimizing transport systems to attract investments and improve trade within the state.
The participants also deliberated on means to provide seamless mobility for the citizens of Ekiti State.
