Prof. Gwarzo Congratulates Tahir Mamman on New Role as Education Minister

The Founder and Chairman of the Governing Council of Maryam Abacha American University of Nigeria, MAAUN, Prof. Adamu Abubakar-Gwarzo, extends his heartfelt congratulations to Prof. Tahir Mamman on his appointment as the Minister of Education by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Previously serving as the Vice-Chancellor of Baze University in Abuja, Mr. Mamman’s new role as Minister of Education is a testament to his outstanding qualifications and experience in the field.

In a statement personally signed by Prof. Gwarzo and released to the press in Kano on Tuesday, he expressed his confidence in Mr. Mamman’s capabilities and track record of service. Prof. Gwarzo, who is also the Founder of Maryam Abacha American University of Niger-Maradi, Franco-British University in Kaduna, and Canadian University of Nigeria in Abuja, believes that the appointment is well-deserved and that Mr. Mamman will excel in his new position.

As a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) and the recipient of the national honour of the Officer of the Order of the Niger (OON), Mr. Mamman has consistently demonstrated his dedication and commitment to his work. This, coupled with his exceptional leadership as the Director-General of the Nigerian Law School from 2005-2013, instills great confidence in Prof. Gwarzo that the new Minister of Education possesses the skills necessary to revitalize the sector and bring about transformative development.

Prof. Gwarzo went on to express his admiration for Mr. Mamman’s achievement, stating, “With your skills and experience, I know you have worked hard to reach this point, and I am delighted that President Tinubu has recognized your accomplishments with this well-deserved appointment. I have no doubt that your dedication and ability will continue to pave the way for your success.”

It is worth mentioning that in addition to his recent appointment, the newly-appointed minister also holds the traditional titles of Dan Ruwatan Adamawa Emirate and Dokajin Mubi of Adamawa State.
