CAF Confederation Cup: Bendel Insurance set to face ASO Chlef in Algiers

The Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, bid farewell to Bendel Insurance on Wednesday as the team embarked on their journey to Algiers for the second-leg tie of the CAF Confederation Cup against Algeria’s ASO Chlef.

After leaving Benin City, the Monday Odigie-led side made their way to Lagos to catch a flight to Algiers.

This weekend, Bendel Insurance will clash with ASO Chlef at the Salem Mabrouki stadium in Rouiba.

Following a 1-0 victory in the first leg last weekend, the Benin Arsenal holds a slight advantage over their North African opponent.

If Bendel Insurance can avoid defeat in Algeria, they will progress to the next stage of the competition.

It is worth noting that this is the club’s first time participating in the competition.
