Amusan Dazzles in World Athletics Championships, Secures Spot in the Final

Nigerian athlete, Tobi Amusan, showcased her exceptional talent at the ongoing World Athletics Championships in Budapest, Hungary, as she triumphed in her heat and advanced to the final of the women’s 100m hurdles.

Amusan encountered a slight delay at the start but proved her mettle by crossing the finish line with an impressive time of 12.56 seconds, securing first place in Heat 2.

Ackera Nuggent from Jamaica sprinted her way to second place, clocking in at 12.60 seconds, followed closely by Canada’s Naddine Visser with a time of 12.62 seconds.

Kendra Harrison, the former world record holder, dominated the first semi-final race, crossing the line in a remarkable 12.33 seconds.

In Heat 3, Jasmine Camacho-Quinn emerged victorious with a time of 12.41 seconds, closely trailed by Nia Ali in 12.49 seconds.

Amusan’s remarkable performance has earned her a coveted spot in the final, set to take place on Sunday night.

As the current record holder and defending champion in the event, all eyes are on Amusan as she aims to seal her status as a force to be reckoned with in women’s 100m hurdles.
