Joe Biden suggests Putin’s involvement in Prigozhin’s death, highlighting the power dynamics in Russia

The President of the United States, Joe Biden, has made a statement suggesting that Russian President Vladimir Putin has knowledge of and influence over events in Russia. This remark came in response to the reported death of Yevgeny Prigozhin, the leader of the Wagner Group.

According to Russia’s agency for air transport, Prigozhin was among the passengers on a flight that tragically crashed and burst into flames on Wednesday. All ten individuals on board the plane were confirmed dead.

When asked about the incident during an interview with CNN, President Biden recalled his previous statement where he expressed caution about traveling on certain means of transportation.

“I don’t know for a fact what happened, but I’m not surprised,” President Biden said, emphasizing that he believes Putin’s involvement in such matters is not uncommon.

While acknowledging his lack of detailed knowledge on the specific incident, President Biden asserted, “There is not much that happens in Russia that Putin is not behind, but I don’t know enough to know the answer.”
