In a bid to achieve the Universal Health Coverage mandate, the Cross River State Government has called upon financial institutions, particularly banks, to provide support for health facilities by supplying them with essential equipment.

The appeal was made by Dr. Henry Egbe Ayuk, the newly appointed Commissioner for Health in the state, during a meeting with the management team from Globus Bank in his office.

Dr. Ayuk emphasized the government’s commitment to ensuring an efficient, accessible, high-quality, and affordable healthcare system. However, he stressed the need for collaborative efforts in order to achieve even greater feats.

He further highlighted the importance of a healthy citizenry in boosting financial transactions and underscored the pressing need for a strong and cooperative healthcare system.
