Wike storms scene of collapsed building in Abuja, insists structures without approval will go down

Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike was present at the scene of a collapsed building in Garki II Abuja on Thursday.

Media Talk Africa recalls that a two-storey building housing many business centres went down around 10 p.m. on Wednesday.

Addressing journalists at the incident scene on Thursday morning, Wike reiterated his earlier comment that buildings without proper approval within the nation’s capital would be pulled down.

“This is what we are saying: any building without approval will go down.

“We don’t hate anybody. All we are saying is the proper thing should be done,” he said.
