Transfer Rumors: Mohamed Salah Poised to Overtake Cristiano Ronaldo as Highest-Paid Player with Possible Move to Saudi Arabian Club

Reports suggest that Liverpool winger, Mohamed Salah, could potentially become the highest-paid footballer in the world should he choose to join Al-Ittihad this summer.

Al-Ittihad, a Saudi Arabian club, has reportedly offered Salah a three-year contract worth an astounding £65 million per year. Given the fact that income in Saudi Arabia is tax-free, the Egyptian superstar would command a weekly wage of £1.25 million.

Furthermore, it is believed that Salah has been informed he could potentially earn more than Cristiano Ronaldo while playing in the country, when factoring in bonuses and sponsorships.

Despite the lucrative offer, sources suggest that Liverpool is not willing to part ways with Salah. However, it remains to be seen whether the player will push for the move and seek a transfer.

Last season, Salah scored an impressive 19 goals and contributed 12 assists. In the current season, he has already notched a goal and an assist in just two games.
