FG Assures Timely Completion of Kano-Zaria-Kaduna-Abuja Road: A Boost for Nigeria’s Infrastructure Progress

The Minister of Works, David Umahi, reaffirmed the Federal Government’s commitment to the on-schedule completion of the Kano-Zaria-Kaduna-Abuja road. This announcement comes as the Minister, accompanied by Kaduna State Deputy Governor, Dr. Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe, embarked on an inspection tour of federal roads in the State.

Highlighting the significance of this project, Umahi shared, “We came to Kaduna by the directive of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for this important assignment. Mr. President has directed that I personally come and inspect this road, Kaduna-Abuja, and report directly to him.”

The Minister lauded the Kaduna State government for its efforts in enhancing the security of its citizens. He acknowledged that good road infrastructure is paramount in fostering social cohesion within communities.

In response, Deputy Governor Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe emphasized the urgency of completing the Abuja-Kaduna-Zaria road, given its strategic importance. She shared her concern that the construction of the Eastern bye-pass, which commenced in 2002, has yet to be concluded. Balarabe expressed her belief that the completion of these roads would bolster the region’s security network and further stimulate economic activities in the area.

As Nigeria continues making strides in its infrastructure development, the Federal Ministry of Works ensures the timely completion of crucial road projects. With a steadfast commitment to delivering tangible results, the government’s efforts are directed towards improving connectivity and enhancing the nation’s economic prospects.
