Julius Agwu Denies Allegation of Ex-Wife Marrying Him for Money

Veteran comedian and actor, Julius Agwu, has vehemently denied claims that his estranged wife, Ibiere Maclayton, married him solely for financial gain.

In recent media reports, it was claimed that Agwu had insinuated in a recent interview that his ex-wife had married him primarily because of his wealth at the time.

However, during an Instagram live session with renowned media personality Daddy Freeze, Julius Agwu firmly refuted the statement.

Daddy Freeze: “There have been reports suggesting that your wife, IB, married you for money. Could you address that?”

Julius Agwu: “I was interviewed by The Punch and I never made any such statement. I only came across it recently when Segun Arinze forwarded it to me.

“I would never stoop so low. My former wife never married me for money. And let it be clear that I, Julius Agwu, never made such a statement. She is the mother of my children and I could never utter anything derogatory about her.”
