Plateau United: Head Coach Mbawas Confident of Success in the Upcoming NPFL Season

Plateau United’s head coach, Mangut Mbwas, exudes confidence in his team’s ability to excel in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) in the forthcoming season.

Despite a strong performance last season, the Peace Boys narrowly missed out on clinching the title.

In a recent pre-season tournament held in Bauchi, Plateau United displayed an unbeaten record.

Mbawas maintains that his team will strive to elevate their game before the commencement of the new campaign.

“My players possess all the necessary qualities to have a successful 2023-24 NPFL campaign,” stated Mbawas in an interview with Media Talk Africa.

“During the pre-season tournament in Bauchi, we played a total of six matches, emerging victorious in five and securing a draw in one. We unfortunately lost on penalties, but overall, we delivered an impressive performance.”

“Plateau United still has room for improvement before the start of the new season.”

The upcoming NPFL season is set to kick off on September 8-10.
