Senator Alli Urges Constituents to Beware of Fraudsters Using His Name

The Senator representing the Oyo South senatorial district, Sharafadeen Alli, has raised an alarm about criminal elements using his name to swindle members of the public.

Senator Alli expressed his concern over the activities of fraudsters who deceive the public and request money under his name.

As the former secretary to the Oyo State government, he warned his constituents to remain vigilant and not allow anyone to defraud them using his identity.

A statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media, Akeem Abas, advised the public to be cautious of individuals claiming to represent Senator Alli in any capacity related to empowerment.

The statement also emphasized the importance of reporting any requests for money, financial contributions, or other favors associated with such activities to the appropriate authorities.

“We have been made aware that someone has been using the name of our Principal, Sen Sharafadeen Alli, to defraud people by promising empowerment opportunities.

“We would like to inform the public that Senator Sharafadeen Alli is not involved in any such activities and has not authorized anyone to request money on his behalf for such purposes.

“We strongly advise the public to be cautious of individuals who claim to represent Senator Sharafadeen Alli in any capacity related to empowerment activities. Any requests for money, financial contributions, or other favors associated with such activities should be reported to the appropriate authorities,” the statement concluded.
