The Vice-Chancellor of the prestigious University of Ibadan, Professor Kayode Adebowale, has announced that the institution has admitted a total of four thousand, two hundred students.
Professor Adebowale made this revelation during a special reception held in honor of the new batch of students at the Chapel of Resurrection on Sunday.
In his address, the Vice-Chancellor shared that an impressive number of over 20,000 candidates sat for the university’s post-UTME examinations.
Out of the extensive pool of candidates, 4,200 students received offers of admission.
However, it was reported that only 3,983 students accepted the offers and will be joining the ranks of the esteemed university.
Professor Adebowale took the opportunity to advise the newly admitted students to consider their admission as a valuable privilege.
He imparted words of wisdom, urging them to choose their friendships with care and diligently adhere to the rules and regulations of the university.
Furthermore, the Vice-Chancellor emphasized that their academic pursuits should be their top priority, with all other endeavors serving as supplementary benefits.
“Over 20,000 candidates sat for the University’s Post-UTME exams,” Professor Adebowale remarked. “Out of these, 4,200 were offered admissions, and only 3,983 accepted the offers.”
