In a bid to ensure the safety of lives and property on the roads, the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Ogun Command, has inaugurated 266 Special Marshals across the State. The initiative is aimed at bolstering FRSC operations and further enhancing road safety measures in the region.

Mr. Anthony Uga, the Ogun Sector Commander of FRSC, revealed this recent development in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Ota, Ogun. He emphasized that the Special Marshals have received comprehensive training on the safety of lives and property on the roads.

Uga expressed his optimism that the inclusion of Special Marshals would significantly contribute to the overall effectiveness of FRSC operations in the State. “Whatever they would be doing will translate to FRSC activities, which is to save lives and ensure road safety,” he affirmed.

As part of their strategic expansion, the FRSC has also established a special marshal unit at the Ogun State Board of Revenue Service. This move highlights the commitment of the FRSC to partnership and collaboration across different sectors to improve road safety in the State.

It is worth mentioning that Ogun State has become the first State in the federation to open a special marshal unit at the State board of revenue service. This pioneering effort sets a remarkable precedence for other States to follow in implementing similar initiatives to enhance road safety nationwide.

The inauguration of the 266 Special Marshals in Ogun signals a new era in road safety measures and reaffirms the FRSC’s unwavering dedication to saving lives and ensuring the safety of road users. Their presence will undoubtedly make a significant difference in promoting adherence to traffic rules and preventing accidents on the roads of Ogun State.
