Plateau State Governor Announces Partnership with IHVN to Improve Health Sector

The Governor of Plateau State, Caleb Mutfwang, has expressed his strong desire to collaborate with the Institute of Human Virology, Nigeria (IHVN) in order to enhance the health sector in the state. He believes that leveraging this partnership will lead to significant advancements in healthcare.

During a courtesy visit to the IHVN headquarters in Abuja on Tuesday, Governor Mutfwang acknowledged his longstanding relationship with Dr. Patrick Dakum, the Chief Executive Officer of IHVN. He praised Dakum as an accomplished technocrat who has made significant contributions to Nigeria’s health sector.

“In my view, both Plateau State and the entire nation of Nigeria benefit from this institute. I offer my sincere prayers that the Institute continues to thrive and contribute to the well-being of humanity,” Governor Mutfwang said.

He also reiterated his administration’s plans to enhance both primary and tertiary healthcare in the state, with a specific focus on providing essential health interventions for vulnerable children and women.

Dr. Patrick Dakum, the CEO of IHVN, welcomed Governor Mutfwang and expressed his delight for the visit. He affirmed his full support for the state government’s leadership and pledged his vast experience to rejuvenate the state’s health sector.

“Our commitment is firmly rooted in supporting your administration. We are devoted to Plateau State’s success and are eager to bolster the health sector. We stand prepared to provide the necessary support,” Dakum maintained.
