Reps member, Agbese begs FG to intervene in erosion disaster threatening Ideato people

The Deputy Spokesman of the House of Representatives, Philip Agbese, has known as on the federal authorities to pay pressing consideration to the plight of the people of Ideato in Imo State.

Agbese made the decision in response to an earlier alarm raised by his colleague in the House, Ikenga Ikeagwuonu Ugochinyere representing the Ideato North/ South federal constituency of Imo State.

In a viral video, Ugochinyere captured a flooded erosion website in his Ideato constituency, lamenting that there was neither a authorities of Imo State nor a federal authorities’s presence in his constituency.

Ideato has been suffering from a mirage of points in current instances starting from insecurity to alleged marginalization and under-development.

Adding his voice, Agbese on Wednesday mentioned the information popping out of Ideato was worrisome, pathetic, and shameful.

“The current situation in Ideato is pathetic and worrisome, to say the least. Insecurity is the day’s order. There is no sign of government presence there.

“I want to use this medium to call on the Federal Government to pay attention to the cry of these people. As a listening father, I know President Bola Tinubu will act but we want it done swiftly,” Agbese acknowledged.
