The strike became necessary in view of the need to provide solutions to the recent removal of subsidy on Premium Motor Spirit (PMS).

Our correspondent who visited the area in the morning, observed that the Federal Secretariat complex in Ibadan was under lock and key.

It was learnt that the workers shunned work.
