Zamfara State Governor Dauda Lawal has signed an Executive Order aimed at tackling inefficiency in the state civil service.

He is also the head of all political appointees in the Government House.”

The office of the Chief of Staff to the Governor supervises three offices and four departments which are the offices of the State Deputy Chief of Staff, Deputy Governor’s Office and Liaison Offices.

Media Talk Africa reports that recently, the state governor, Dauda Lawal, reduced the number of ministries from 28 to 15.

He also brought down the number of Permanent Secretaries from 48 to 28.

He noted that the large number of ministries and permanent secretaries contributed to the high cost of governance in the state.
