Abia Warriors Bolster Technical Team with Appointment of Okemiri as Chief Scout

Abia Warriors, a prominent football club based in Umuahia, has recently enhanced their technical squad by appointing former Enyimba defender, Ogbonaya Okemiri, as their new chief scout.

This strategic move to bring Okemiri on board adds another seasoned professional to the Abia Warriors’ coaching staff, further bolstering their expertise in talent identification and recruitment.

In a previous announcement, the club proudly unveiled the appointment of former Nigerian international, Ike Shorunmu, as their new goalkeeper trainer, further solidifying their commitment to assembling a top-notch technical team.

To top it all off, the club has also announced the appointment of John Obuh, a former coach for both the Golden Eaglets and Flying Eagles, as their chairman—an indication of the club’s ambition and determination to excel at both national and international levels.

Okemiri has an impressive track record, having achieved notable success during his playing days. He was a key figure in Enyimba’s triumphs in the prestigious CAF Champions League in 2003 and 2004.
