Mohbad: Lagos State Police Command Issues Warning amid Investigations into Rapper’s Death

The Lagos State Police Command has issued a stern warning that it will not be coerced into revealing details surrounding the untimely demise of the late rapper, Ilerioluwa Olademeji Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad.

In an official statement released on Saturday evening, the Command’s spokesperson, Benjamin Hundeyin, emphasized that the ongoing investigation will not be transformed into a sensational media trial.

Hundeyin’s response comes in light of numerous calls from various quarters to question specific individuals and disclose the results of Mohbad’s autopsy to the public.

He firmly stated that the police will meticulously adhere to established protocols.

Hundeyin stated, “This investigation will not unfold in the court of public opinion.

“The appropriate inquiries will be posed and answered in the proper setting, in front of the designated authorities, and, most significantly, at the appropriate time.

“We will not succumb to pressure. However, be assured that we are following every prescribed procedure for a homicide investigation, as we have zero tolerance for incompetence.”

It is worth recalling that Mohbad passed away under controversial circumstances on September 12, 2023.
