FG Unveils Programmes for 63rd-Anniversary Celebration: Independence Day Agenda Revealed

The Nigerian government has disclosed the lineup of events for the upcoming 63rd anniversary of the nation’s independence.

The Secretary of the Government of the Federation, George Akume, announced the agenda for the 2023 Independence Day celebration during a World Press Conference held in Abuja on Monday.

With the theme “Nigeria at 63: Renewed Hope for Unity & Prosperity,” this year’s anniversary promises to be a momentous occasion.

Programme of Events

1. World Press Conference on Monday, 26th September at the National Press Center, Radio House Abuja (11:00am)

2. Anniversary Symposium/Public Lecture on Thursday, 28th September 2023 at the State House Conference Center (10:00am)

3. Lecture on Friday, 29th September 2023 at the National Mosque Conference Center (10:00am)

4. Juma’at Prayer at the National Mosque at 1:00 pm

5. Presidential Broadcast on Sunday, 1st October 2023 (7:00 am)

6. Inter-Denominational Church Service on Sunday, 1st October 2023 at the National Christian Center (10:00am)

7. Military Parade on Monday, 2nd October 2023 at the Presidential Villa (9:00am)
