Governor Uba Sani Congratulates Team Kaduna on Historic Gold Medal Win

The Governor of Kaduna State, Uba Sani, has extended his heartfelt congratulations to the Kaduna State Cycling Team for their remarkable triumph at the ongoing 7th National Youth Games in Asaba, Delta State. The team achieved a momentous feat by winning their first-ever gold medal.

In a statement released by his Chief Press Secretary, Muhammad Lawal Shehu, Governor Sani expressed his admiration for the team’s exceptional performance in the highly competitive 80KM road race, labelling the gold medal “a significant achievement that brings immense pride not only to the team, but to the entire Kaduna State.”

“Furthermore, the Kaduna State Cycling Team also secured a bronze medal in the 10-kilometer Individual Time Trial (ITT), further adding to their resounding success at the 7th National Youth Games in Asaba, Delta State,” the statement revealed.

The governor emphasized that these outstanding accomplishments underscore the unwavering dedication and commitment of the cyclists, coaches, and management in preserving Kaduna’s status as a leading force in sporting excellence throughout Nigeria.

“In order to bolster Team Kaduna’s morale in the ongoing games, Governor Sani has directed Professor Benjamin Gugong, the Commissioner of Sports Development in Kaduna State, to promptly visit the team in Asaba, Delta State and engage with them,” the statement added.

“This proactive measure ensures that the athletes are fully motivated to deliver an outstanding performance and emerge as the ultimate winners at the conclusion of the National Youth Games,” the statement further highlighted.
