Sporting Lagos vs Gombe United NPFL Match Rescheduled Due to Logistics

The highly anticipated Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) opener featuring Sporting Lagos and Gombe United has been unexpectedly delayed, according to a report by Media Talk Africa.

The match, originally scheduled for Saturday, September 30 at the prestigious Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Onikan, Lagos, has now been rescheduled to take place on Monday, October 2nd at the same venue.

Speaking on the matter, Davidson Owumi, the Chief Operating Officer of the NPFL, cited logistical reasons as the cause for the postponement.

It will be the first time that both teams will be facing each other in the history of the NPFL, adding excitement and intrigue to the rescheduled match.

Sporting Lagos earned their place in the top flight after a commendable performance in the Nigeria National League playoff, finishing among the top four teams.
