Speaker of Osun State House of Assembly Offers Condolences to Oyo Lawmaker Over Tragic Loss of Son

The Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly, Adewale Egbedun, has expressed his heartfelt condolences to Sanjo Adedoyin, the Majority Leader of the Oyo State House of Assembly, following the tragic death of his son, Faith Adedoyin.

In an official statement issued by Olamide Tiamiyu, media aide to the Speaker, Egbedun expressed his shock upon receiving the distressing news and prayed for God’s strength and courage for the Adedoyin family during this difficult time.

“I was deeply saddened to learn of the untimely passing of Faith Adedoyin, a 500-level accounting student at Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) and the beloved son of the Majority Leader of the Oyo State Assembly,” said the Speaker.

“On behalf of myself, my family, and the entire Osun State 8th House of Assembly, I extend my heartfelt condolences to Hon. Sanjo Adedoyin and the entire family. May the Lord grant you the strength to endure this irreplaceable loss. Please accept my deepest sympathies,” he added.

Media Talk Africa reports that Faith Adedoyin was one of the students from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) in Ogbomoso, Oyo State, who tragically lost their lives in a road traffic accident in Osun on Wednesday night.

According to a statement released by the Osun Sector Command of the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC), the accident involved a white commercial Mazda bus and occurred at the Ojutu Bridge along the Osogbo-Ilobu road.

The fatal crash claimed the lives of the bus driver and two students, with five other students sustaining serious injuries and requiring rescue.

The students had been returning to Ogbomoso from a school excursion to Olumirin Waterfall in Erin-Ijesa.
