Judgement Day: Minister, Senator, Rep, others storm Ogun Tribunal

The Minister of State for Environment and Ecological Management, Dr. Iziaq Salako, the Senator representing Ogun West, Olamilekan Adeola and a member of House of Representatives, Hon. Tunji Akinosi have stormed the Isabo court venue of the Ogun State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal.

The Three-man Panel, headed by Justice Hamidu Kunaza is set to deliver judgement on the petition filed by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its governorship candidate, Ladi Adebutu against Dapo Abiodun of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The politicians, who are all members of the APC, are in court in solidarity with Gov Abiodun.

Abiodun’s Deputy, Mrs. Noimot Salako-Oyedele is also in court.

Adeola, otherwise known as Yayi, arrived the court at 7:55 am, while Salako entered the court shortly after.

They were joined by other aides of Abiodun, including commissioner designates and the Deputy Chief of Staff, Oluwatoyin Taiwo.

Meanwhile, there is heavy security presence at the Isabo, Abeokuta, venue of the tribunal.

Many journalists were also barred from entering the court premises.
