63rd Independence: Niger State Governor preaches unity, Hope

Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago of Niger State in north central Nigeria, has called for unity among the people of Niger state and all Nigerians during the 63rd Independence Anniversary celebration.

Represented by Deputy Comrade Yakubu Garba at a celebration in Bako Kontagora Memorial Stadium Minna, the Governor emphasizes the importance of unity as a crucial tool for peace and development, stressing that peaceful coexistence is essential for the nation’s prosperity and the realization of its aspirations.

Governor Bago encourages citizens to contribute to nation-building, pledging governments dedication to improving citizens living condition.

 “I also appeal to Nigerlites to maintain hope and resilience, offering prayers for the success of the current administration,” Bago added.

The Secretary to the State Government, Abubakar Usman, and the Speaker of the Niger State House of Assembly, Abdulmalik Muhammad, acknowledged the nation’s significant achievements despite challenges.

The event was graced by top government officials, Security Chiefs in the State, members of the State Executive Council, representatives of the State Council of Traditional Rulers, and APC Chieftains, among other dignitaries.
