Minister Mohammed Idris laments erosion of value among Nigerians

Minister of Information and National Orientation, Alhaji Mohammed Idris, has lamented the gradual erosion of values among residents.

He described it as worrisome and harped on the necessity for value reorientation.

He was talking throughout a courtesy go to by members of the Sardauna Ahmadu Bello Memorial Foundation at his workplace in Abuja on Wednesday.

The minister noticed that our sense of patriotism as a nation requires enchancment as it’s mandatory for nationwide development and growth. He counseled the foresight of the governors of the northern states for establishing the Foundation to immortalize the title and good qualities of the previous Premier of the Northern Region, Sir Ahmadu Bello.

He urged the inspiration to recreate the values for which the Sardauna was acknowledged, and “To join the effort to take Nigerians through a process of rediscovery and to retrace our steps toward the vision of our forefathers.”

The minister mentioned leaders wanted to revive the arrogance of the individuals in governance, including that this was the imaginative and prescient of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

He congratulated them on the contributions they’ve made within the space of scholarships, well being outreaches, and academic growth.

Earlier, the chief of the group and former governor of Kano State, Senator Ibrahim Shekarau mentioned the Foundation sees the Ministry of Information and National Orientation as an vital platform by means of which to ship it contributions to the nation.
