Gov Radda urges Customs to desist from harassing civilians in Katsina

Governor of Katsina State, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda has referred to as on the personnel of the Nigeria Customs Service, NCS, in the State, to at all times perform their job with utmost diligence and professionalism, urging them to desist from harassing or intimidating civilians.

Radda made the enchantment when Compt. Umar Muhammad Abubakar, the newly-posted State Comptroller of Customs Service, paid him a courtesy go to on the Katsina State Government House on Wednesday.

According to Dikko Radda, the Katsina State Government will proceed to assist the State Command of the Customs Service in the discharge of its constitutional mandate.

The Governor stated the connection between Customs personnel and stakeholders alongside border axes in the State is now enhancing, in contrast to the previous when harmless residents on transit to border communities had been subjected to pointless harassment and intimidations from Customs officers.
