Kwara United urge fans to shun violence during home games

Kwara State football stakeholders have urged fans to be disciplined during Kwara United’s home games in the Nigeria Premier Football League this season.

The Harmony Boys are staging a return to the Kwara State Sports Complex after nearly two years of playing at neutral venues.

Kwara United will lock horns with Abia Warriors at their home ground on Sunday.

The chairman of the Kwara State Sports Commission, Mallam Bola Mogaji, advised spectators to respect the restrictions that would be adopted at home games.

“No team pushed out of its domain does well, and the experience of last season has shown us this. So, let us all join hands to ensure we have a successful season,” he stated after the stakeholders meeting held on Thursday.

“We have received several commendations from the NPFL in the last five seasons because of the way we handle proceedings during home matches in Ilorin, and we want to sustain that momentum, for the sake of all.”

Kwara United suffered defeat in their week one fixture against Katsina United last Saturday.
