Babajide Excited by Debut Super Falcons Call-Up for Olympic Qualifiers

UDG Tenerife forward Rinsola Babajide has expressed her delight at receiving her first invitation to join the Super Falcons, Nigeria’s national women’s football team. The 25-year-old player from Spain is one of the 22 athletes who have been selected to participate in the Super Falcons’ 2024 Olympic qualifiers match against Ethiopia, scheduled for Sunday.

Babajide, who had previously represented England at the U-20 level, recently made the decision to switch her international allegiance to Nigeria. She is grateful for the opportunity to wear the green and white jersey of her new homeland.

In a heartfelt message shared on the X platform, Babajide expressed her gratitude for the overwhelming love and support she has received from fans. She wrote, “The love I’ve been feeling has been very overwhelming. Thank you so much. I am grateful and blessed for this opportunity #Honoured.”
