EPL Title Race: Roy Keane Sticks with Manchester City Despite Recent Defeat to Arsenal

Legendary Manchester United player, Roy Keane, has weighed in on the Premier League title race following Arsenal’s 1-0 victory over Manchester City.

In a nail-biting encounter at Emirates Stadium, Gabriel Martinelli’s goal sealed the win for Arsenal.

With this victory, Arsenal has climbed to the second spot in the league table, leaving Manchester City at third place. Meanwhile, Tottenham Hotspur sits at the top of the table, edging past the competition on goal difference.

During an episode of The Overlap’s Stick to Football podcast on YouTube, Gary Neville asked Keane if Arsenal’s win against Manchester City had altered his initial predictions for the season. Neville asked, “Now that Arsenal has defeated Manchester City, has it changed your perspective on the season, Roy?”

Keane responded, “No, that was probably the poorest performance I have seen from City. They are going through a tough phase. Arsenal managed to hang in there and simply got the job done.”

“It was a tense game, with both sides displaying poor quality, but despite this, City’s dominance in the league over the past two years cannot be ignored. So, I haven’t changed my mind about who I think will win the league. I will stick with City.”
