Mikel Obi to Assist AFCON 2023 Draw Alongside Drogba, Mane, and Hakimi

Former Super Eagles Captain, John Mikel Obi, has been selected as one of the assistants for the final draw of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).

Joining Mikel as assistants will be his former Chelsea teammate, Didier Drogba, Senegal striker, Sadio Mane, and Moroccan defender, Achraf Hakimi.

The highly anticipated draw ceremony, set to take place at the magnificent Parc des Expositions in Abidjan, will be hosted by global music icon, Akon.

Mikel, who led Nigeria to victory in the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations, boasts an impressive record in the tournament, having secured three bronze medals with the Super Eagles.

The event promises to be a star-studded affair, with delegations and coaches from all 24 participating nations, CAF legends, international media, CAF commercial partners, showbiz celebrities, and African leaders gracing the occasion.
