President Tinubu to Preside Over Second Federal Executive Council Meeting Today

The highly anticipated second Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting is set to take place today, Monday. This crucial gathering will be chaired by President Bola Tinubu and attended by key government officials, including the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Chief of Staff to the President, and Ministers.

Mr Ajuri Ngelale, the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, confirmed this during a press briefing with State House Correspondents on Sunday. According to Ngelale, the President will lead discussions on important economic and social matters for which he has given his approval.

During the inaugural meeting held in August, newly appointed ministers received their first briefings on their roles and responsibilities within the context of the Renewed Hope Agenda. This upcoming session will build on the momentum created in the previous gathering.

The Federal Executive Council, a constitutional institution, serves as a platform for the discussion and endorsement of government policies. As the Chairman, President Tinubu plays a pivotal role, with the Vice President serving as the Vice Chairman.

In addition to the aforementioned officials, the Head of Service of the Federation, Special Advisers, and other high-ranking government functionaries will also be present at the meeting. Their collective expertise and input will contribute to the formulation of impactful decisions.
