BBNaija Winner Mercy Eke Expresses Disappointment Over Lack of Support in All-Stars Edition

In a recent interview, Mercy Eke, the winner of the ‘Pepper Dem’ edition of Big Brother Naija, expressed her disappointment at the lack of support she received from viewers during the recent All-Stars edition of the reality show. According to Mercy, the lack of support was largely due to the sentiment surrounding her previous win.

The reality star tearfully shared her thoughts with Hero Daniels, questioning whether it is deemed wrong for a woman to strive for more. Mercy felt that her ambition made her appear greedy in the eyes of others.

During her emotional interview, Mercy said, “I began to question myself during this last season of Big Brother. I felt like I was just too ambitious. Is it wrong for a woman to desire more? People made me feel like I was being too greedy.”

Mercy also expressed her frustration at the negativity and hatred she faced, stating that she received minimal support apart from her loyal fans. She found it difficult to understand why she was met with such animosity for simply wanting to excel.

She added, “I faced so much hatred and wickedness. I didn’t have any support except from my fans. It was a painful experience. I thank God I went back to the show because I was unaware of how people perceived me. They made me feel like wanting more was a crime.”

Mercy further revealed that she questioned her own worth and what she had done wrong to deserve such treatment. Despite this, she maintained her self-respect and vowed to let her light shine.

She concluded, “It was pure wickedness. I checked myself and realized I didn’t do anything wrong. I didn’t commit any crime. The only ‘crime’ I committed was wanting more.”
