Primate Ayodele Urges Tinubu to Take Action Against Gumi’s Controversial Remarks on Wike

The renowned leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has called upon President Bola Tinubu to order the immediate arrest of Islamic cleric, Ahmed Gumi, following his divisive statements regarding Christians and the honorable Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike.

Gumi, in his remarks, went on to describe Wike as a malevolent figure, insinuating that Christians are not fit to be entrusted with the nation’s security.

Furthermore, the Islamic scholar advocated for Wike’s prompt removal from the position of FCT minister, proposing that a Muslim individual should assume the role instead.

Expressing his concerns, Primate Ayodele, through his media aide, Oluwatosin Osho, firmly cautioned Gumi against his disparaging remarks about Christians and emphasized the importance of allowing Wike to diligently carry out his duties. The Primate highlighted that the actions of the FCT minister would invariably impact not only Muslims but every single individual in the nation.

Primate Ayodele stated, “Leave Wike alone and allow him to fulfill his responsibilities without persecuting Christians. If the minister fails to act accordingly, it should not be viewed through the lens of Christianity alone.

“Tinubu ought to exercise caution when dealing with individuals like Gumi. It is imperative that he be placed under arrest and face legal consequences.”
