The Kenyan-Canadian actress, Lupita Nyong’o, has recently parted ways with her boyfriend, Selema Masekela, a renowned TV host.
Confirming the news on her Instagram account, the “Black Panther” star announced that she and the American sports commentator have decided to end their relationship, less than a year after publicly acknowledging their commitment to each other.
In a heartfelt post, the 40-year-old actress expressed that “deception” was the catalyst for their breakup.
Her poignant Instagram message read, in part: “In the interest of honesty, it is imperative for me to share a personal truth and sever my ties with someone whom I can no longer place my trust in.
“I am currently experiencing a season of heartbreak caused by a love that was abruptly and devastatingly extinguished by deceit.”
