Group hails Tinubu for appointing Abu Ibrahim as NADF Executive Secretary

A pro-democracy group, Initiative for Democratic Development, IDD, has commended President Bola Tinubu for appointing Mohammed Abu Ibrahim as the Executive Secretary and Chief Executive Officer of the National Agricultural Development Fund, NADF.

The group, in a statement by its Publicity Secretary, Audu Sarkin-Noma, said Mr Ibrahim has the capability to turn around the Fund, especially for being a professional accountant with over 25 years and vast experience in management, agricultural finance and agriculture technology solutions.

According to Mr Sarkin-Noma, the new NADF helmsman was the co-founder and CFO of Sponge Analytics, an agriculture data analytics company involved in agricultural solutions.

“He is presently Vice Chairman and Co-Founder of (Livestock247); Nigeria’s first online livestock trading platform and Animal Identification and Traceability solution providers.

“He has also served on the board of various companies across the agriculture, technology, education and environmental services,” the statement noted.

Mr Ibrahim has a first degree in Accountancy from the University of Jos and is a Certified Agricultural Finance and Banking expert.

He is an Alumnus of the Harvard Kennedy School, and has also attended the Robert Kennedy College Zurich, Frankfurt School of Finance and Management and a Fellow of Aspen Institute Leadership Initiative for Africa.

Mr Ibrahim is a serial entrepreneur with 16 years of successful experience in initiating and nurturing business startups within uniquely challenging environments.

He was founding partner and CEO of Cryogenic Industries Limited (high grade oxygen and allied gases producers) from 2007 to 2009.

Before that, he served as founder and CEO of Tri- Dynamic Services Limited, a municipal solid waste management company.

He was also the executive director of North-South Petroleum Limited, a deep offshore oil block holding company.

Mr Ibrahim is presently the Chairman of the Board of Inspire Academy, a British Curriculum Primary School with emphasis on special needs in Abuja Nigeria.

He serves as Director in Socket Works Limited a thriving IT Firm with presence in six African countries, Maigari Farms an agricultural company involved in Crop Cultivation and Poultry Farming and Sponge Analytics Limited a software development firm.

He is also a Fellow of the fifth class of the Africa Leadership Initiative-West Africa and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
