Asari Dokubo Criticizes Bola Tinubu’s One-sided Appointments, Raises Concerns for Nigeria’s Well-being

In a recent development, former Niger Delta militant leader, Asari Dokubo, has expressed his dismay over President Bola Tinubu’s appointments, labelling them as one-sided and potentially detrimental to the overall welfare of Nigeria.

In a viral video, Dokubo questioned the rationale behind Tinubu’s appointment of Bosun Tijani as the Minister of Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy, despite Tijani’s previous criticisms and abuses.

“Nigerians chose the Muslim-Muslim ticket because they understood the capabilities of Tinubu. However, it is disheartening to witness these one-sided appointments,” Dokubo conveyed passionately.

Dokubo emphasized the urgency of addressing this issue, stating, “We must raise our voices and make it known that Nigeria is not synonymous with Lagos. It is crucial for the President to realize that his current approach to appointments, which seems to favour Lagos over the rest of the country, can be perilous. Despite the numerous challenges our nation faces, we mustn’t shy away from highlighting this concern.”

The former militant leader further raised questions regarding the inclusion of Bosun Tijani in the government, given his prior abusive and critical remarks. He appealed to Mr. President to reconsider the appointments and ensure a fair and inclusive representation that upholds the collective values of our nation.

Dokubo concluded his statement by reminding everyone that Nigeria belongs to all its citizens, and it is imperative that the administration acknowledges this in its decision-making process.
