Omeruo Celebrates First Goal of the Season in Istanbul Derby

Nigeria’s national team defender, Kenneth Omeruo, is overjoyed after finding the back of the net for the first time this season while playing for Turkish Super Lig club, Kasimpasa.

In a tightly contested match against Istanbul rivals, Galatasaray, Omeruo’s goal came as a glimmer of hope in a 2-1 defeat for his team.

The Ivorian forward, Wilfred Zaha, put Galatasaray ahead with two goals before Omeruo successfully reduced the deficit in the 54th minute.

Rising above the opposition defense, the 30-year-old expertly headed in a corner kick to score the goal.
