Kaduna Governor Uba Sani Orders Immediate Debt Payment and Power Restoration to Varsity Campuses

Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, has taken decisive action to address the power supply issue at the Kafanchan and Kaduna campuses of the esteemed Kaduna State University.

It has come to light that the power supply to these campuses had been disconnected due to outstanding debts owed by the institution. In response, Governor Sani has swiftly directed the immediate payment of all debts accumulated from 2022 to the Kaduna Electric Company, with the aim of promptly restoring power supply to the affected areas.

In a statement by Muhammad Lawal Shehu, the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, it was revealed that upon receiving reports of the prolonged power outage affecting the campuses, Governor Sani personally instructed the Commissioner of Education, Professor Muhammad Sani Bello, to investigate the root causes of the blackout.

Highlighting the significance of education as a top priority for Governor Uba Sani’s administration, the statement emphasized the governor’s commitment to implementing interventions and initiatives aimed at addressing the challenges faced by students in all state-owned tertiary institutions.
