Boma Akpore, the former Big Brother Naija housemate, has emphasized the substantial influence of the reality show on elevating his status as a public figure, not just within Nigeria but also on a global scale.
Before gracing the BBNaija stage, Boma had established himself as a model and actor in the United States. However, his journey within the BBNaija house was cut short following widespread criticism over his alleged romantic involvement with Tega, a fellow housemate who was married.
During an exclusive interview with journalists at the recently concluded AMAA awards in Lagos State, Boma candidly expressed the pivotal role BBNaija has played in propelling his career and unlocking new opportunities.
“My participation in BBNaija propelled me into the limelight. Despite possessing talent, gaining recognition can be a struggle. However, BBNaija significantly raised my profile in the entertainment industry,” Boma disclosed.
He added, “It streamlined the process for people to familiarize themselves with my work and understand my professional identity.
