Kwara state Speaker mourns comedian Baba Usman Samanja

The Speaker, Kwara State House of Assembly, North Central Nigeria, Engr Yakubu Danladi-Salihu, has described the death of Alhaji Usman Baba Patigi popularly known as Samanja, as a colossal loss to the creative industry.

Engr. Danladi-Salihu who described Baba Usman as an industrious prince of Patigi who made exploits in the movie industry commiserates with the deceased family, Patigi Emirate, and the entire entertainment industry across the length and breadth of the country.

“We received with a rude shock, the news of the passage of Alhaji Baba Usman popularly known as Samanja. The memory of the late movie actor would continue to linger as one of the most famous comedians Nigeria ever produced, he would be sorely missed,” the Speaker noted in a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Sheu Abdulkadir Yusuf.

The Speaker sends condolences to the Samanja family, Patigi Emirate, fans and lovers of the late comic actor and the entertainment industry and prayed to Allah to forgive the thespian all his shortcomings and admit him into Aljanat Firdaus.
