Agent Clash Halts Bayelsa Guber Vote Collation, APC Declared Winner in Brass LGA

Confusion erupted at the vote collation center in Bayelsa as agents representing the Accord Party and the All Progressives Congress engaged in a physical altercation during the governorship election process on Monday in Yenagoa, the state capital.

The altercation persisted despite the efforts of the state Returning Officer, Prof Faruq Kuta, to intervene and restore calm. The scene at the center became chaotic, prompting the intervention of law enforcement officers who swiftly brought the situation under control, allowing the collation process to proceed.

The clash occurred shortly after the announcement of the All Progressives Congress candidate, Timipre Sylva, as the winner in the Brass Local Government Area of the state.

Video footage of the clash captures the tense moment when agents of the opposing parties clashed, adding a visual perspective to the incident.
