Nigerian Army Alerts Applicants to Beware of Fake Online Recruitment Portal

The Nigerian Army has issued a warning concerning the proliferation of false online information regarding the Nigerian Army Direct Short Service (DSS) Recruitment Portal for the year 2023.

In an official statement attributed to Brigadier General Onyema Nwachukwu, the Director of Army Public Relations, the Nigerian Army disclaimed the authenticity of the said recruitment portal.

“The Nigerian Army (NA) has taken note of the alarming spread of false online recruitment information, particularly in relation to the Nigerian Army Direct Short Service (DSS) Recruitment Portal for the year 2023.

“The NA wishes to emphasize that the spurious online publication is a deliberate fraudulent ploy by certain unscrupulous individuals aimed at deceiving the public.”

“Given the potential harm that this false online publication could inflict on potential candidates and the public at large, it is imperative to clarify that the purported online Direct Short Service Portal 2023 is a scam and should be unequivocally avoided.”

“The NA has already taken steps to apprehend those responsible for the fraudulent portal. As such, members of the public are urged to report any suspicious recruitment portal or activities to the NA,” the statement emphasized.

The statement also reiterated the Nigerian Army’s commitment to upholding a transparent and credible recruitment process, emphasizing that the official channels for recruitment information include the Nigerian Army’s official website (https://army.mil.ng) and verified social media platforms such as Twitter (@HQNigerianArmy), Facebook (HQ Nigerian Army), and Instagram (HQNigerianArmy).

Nwachukwu advised the public to rely exclusively on these authorized channels for accurate and current information, urging prospective candidates and the general public to take the disclaimer seriously and exercise caution when seeking information related to the Nigerian Army’s recruitment procedures.
