Deputy Senate President Advocates Strengthened Diplomatic Relations with the UAE

During the celebration of the United Arab Emirates’ 52nd National Day, Nigeria’s Deputy Senate President, Jibrin Barau, emphasized the need for robust diplomatic ties with the UAE. The event, which took place at the UAE embassy in Abuja, witnessed Barau, representing Kano North Senatorial District, delivering a speech as a distinguished guest.

In a statement released by Ismail Mudashir, the Special Adviser to the Deputy Senate President on Media and Publicity, it was highlighted that the UAE has significantly contributed to the global economy’s development. Barau stressed the mutual benefits that would arise from strengthening the bilateral relations between Nigeria and the UAE.

Expressing his admiration for the UAE’s outstanding achievements, Barau stated, “We will also want our country, Nigeria, to be a wonderful country that can attract people from all over the world to come for business and tourism opportunities, just like the UAE.”

Asserting the existing strong ties between both countries, Barau emphasized, “We have very much in common in terms of endowment, and I hope that we continue with the cordial relationship for the benefit of the two countries.”
